For digital revivals of older fonts, or fonts that have been reissued in a new format, the date used here is the original date of design.
Note that these totals represent the number of fonts on Identifont; Identifont shows a selection of the most representative styles from each font family, so the actual totals for each year will be proportionally higher than shown here.
