Alexander Rütten
Alexander Rütten is a typeface and graphic designer. He studied communication design at the University of Applied Sciences in Trier. In 2002 he moved to Berlin, where he mainly worked as an editorial designer and as an interface designer and developer. After designing several typefaces, winning two TDC competitions and a German Design Award nomination, he decided to cooperate on the design of Tuna with Felix Braden. Since 2021 he has been designing various typefaces in collaboration with Olivia Wood at their joint type studio Ligature Type.
