Sami Kortemäki
Sami Kortemäki was born 1975 in Kerava, Finland. Over the years 1995–2001 he studied graphic design at the Lahti Polytechnic/Institute of Design, in Finland. During 1998–1999 he also studied at the KABK in Den Haag, the Netherlands.
Together with Akiem Helmling and Bas Jacobs, he founded Underware in 1999. Underware is a (typo)graphic design studio which is specialized in designing and producing typefaces. The company is based in Den Haag, Amsterdam, and Helsinki, and its current retail typefaces are Auto, Bello, Dolly, and Sauna.
