Andrew Smith

Andrew Smith was born in Australia in 1967, and lived there for 12 years before moving to Ipswich in Suffolk. He went on to study graphic design and eventually gained an HND specialising in typography. In 1989 he began working in the Letraset Type studio in London – learning under the stewardship of type director Colin Brignall, and acquiring a strong passion for type design.

Today, with over 15 international releases to his name, Andrew continues to create distinctive, exciting and quirky display fonts. His best sellers since 1995 include Smudger, Jokerman, Chiller, Goo Goo Gjoob, and Potato Cut. He now works as a freelance designer in London.
