Fabrizio Gilardino

Fabrizio Gilardino

Fabrizio Gilardino was born in Biella, Italy, in 1961. Over the years he has lived in Athens (Greece), Milan (Italy), San Francisco (USA). He has moved to Montreal (Canada) in 1990 and since 2006 divides his time between Montreal and Rome (Italy). In 1986, he graduated in Graphic Design from Milan's Istituto Europeo di Design.

He works as an independent graphic designer for a variety of clients in the cultural milieu, including record labels, dance and theatre companies, art galleries and various not-for-profit cultural associations. In 1995 he co-founded along with Denis Dulude the digital type foundry 2Rebels. He has taught and given workshops/lectures on typography in Montreal, Brussels and Antwerp (Belgium), Rotterdam (The Netherlands) and Rome. Active in music as well, he co-founded, with composer and drummer Michel F. Côté, the independent label etrecords and plays in the noise-rock trio FoodSoon.
