Jonny Pinhorn

After completing his M.A. Type Design from the University of Reading in 2009 he went on to design Karla for Google Fonts. It was a popular and quirky san-serif typeface that supported both the Latin and Tamil scripts. His continued fascination with India and its languages led him to Indian Type Foundry where he lived and worked for approximately three years. His ITF fonts include Saguna, Akhand Multiscript, Quilon and Caravel. He has worked, and continues to work, on all Indic scripts; most recently a Gujarati font called Shrikhand and a Gurmukhi font called Atithi.
