Ash Gibson
Ash Gibson is a multiple award winning graphic designer and creative director. Born in London in 1969, he studied design and visual communication at Portsmouth College of Art and Leicester Polytechnic. He has spent several years freelancing and later became an art director at GQ magazine in London and Giant magazine in New York.
His only published typeface is called BQE and is a homage to Ken Garland and sixties European graphics… and a flyover in Brooklyn. He has created, commission and adapted numerous fonts for a variety of briefs over the years and is currently in discussions about setting up a small foundry.
He now lives in London and works across multiple platforms for publishing and advertising clients like The Week and London Advertising.
