Titus Nemeth

Titus Nemeth

Austrian-born Titus Nemeth is a typographer, a student, and a teacher. His main field of work is in Arabic and multilingual typography. His Arabic and Latin retail typefaces Aisha and Nassim have won multiple awards and international recognition, most notably through the BBC World Service's use of Nassim for its entire range of Arabic-script websites.

He works independently as designer and consultant and teaches at the ESAD Amiens and the ESAV Marrakesh. Since 2010 Titus has been researching aspects of the history of Arabic typography as a PhD candidate at the University of Reading, UK.

Titus studied Graphic Design at die Graphische in Vienna, Austria, and holds an MA with Distinction in Typeface Design from the University of Reading. He studied Arabic in Syria, taught typography as an Assistant Professor at the VCUQ in Doha and pursued research at the post-diplĂ´me of the ESAD.
