Jill Weber
Jill Weber is a children's book illustrator and designer for a number of major publishers. Her collaboration, with author Julie Salamon on The Christmas Tree, was a New York Times Bestseller and sold in twelve foreign countries. Christmas Tree Farm (Holiday House 2006), written by Ann Purmell, was a Jr. Library Guild Selection as well as a New York Time’s Christmas pick in 2006. Jill has finished two titles written by the esteemed author Eric Kimmel, Even Higher: A Rosh Hashanah Story (Holiday House 2009) and The Story of Esther: A Purim tale (Holiday House 2011) - both chosen as PJ Library selections. The Story of Hanukkah is available late fall of 2011. Jill is currently teaching children's book illustration at The New Hampshire Institute of Art.
Ant & Bee fonts were created more than 20 years ago as a collaborative effort with the well-known font designer, Christian Schwartz, nephew to Jill Weber (the Ant). Jill did the drawings and Christian converted them into the fonts that are still available today. Christian was in high school at the time.
