Ken Barber

Ken Barber

Ken Barber was born in 1972 and graduated from the graphic design program at Temple University's Tyler School of Art in 1994. After working at several design studios in New York City, Ken joined House Industries full time in 1996 where he currently works as a letterer, type designer, and type director.

Ken's internationally exhibited work has been honored by the New York Type Directors Club and is part of the Smithsonian Institution's Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum collection. In 2004 he co-authored a book chronicling ten years of House Industries' design, now in its second printing.

Ken teaches lettering and typography at Maryland Institute, College of Art and lectures internationally on the subjects.
