Lars Pryds
Copenhagen based artist and designer Lars Pryds was born in 1962 in Kolding, Denmark. He studied drawing, illustration, and graphics at the School of Arts and Crafts in Kolding between 1983 and 1987, graduating in 1987 as a graphic designer.
He founded the graphic design studio Tolstrup Pryds Graphics with Lisbeth Tolstrup in Aarhus in 1988. Since 1996 he has been employed at major Danish newspapers, including Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten, 24timer, and Berlingske, where he presently holds a position as Art Director for the weekly Business magazine. He is also Editor-in-chief at SNDS Magazine, published quarterly by the Society for News Design Scandinavia, and since the 1980s has exhibited his works as a fine artist, specialising in painting and collage.
