Victor Gaultney
Victor Gaultney, born in 1962, grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.
After a background in theatre and dance, he studied mathematics and music at nearby St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota, and completed a Master of Arts in Typeface Design at the University of Reading, England.
He has been a type designer with SIL International, an educational and development organisation, since 1991. Although his speciality is the design of non-Latin scripts, from Africa to Southeast Asia, he has recently returned to his "mother script" with his first original extended Latin design - Gentium.
