Yulia Gonina
Yulia Gonina is a font designer from Russia, born in Moscow, who currently lives in St. Petersburg. She began her career as a graphic designer. At some point, she became interested in fonts and typography, and in 2017 this interest led her to attend the annual type design course at the Type Design School in St. Petersburg. There, she studied for a year under the guidance of Irina Smirnova. Yulia completed her graduation project – the revival of Jacques-François Rosart's 18th century fonts – in collaboration with the Schrift magazine and publishing house. After graduating from the course, Yulia joined the TypeType team.
