Kaja Słojewska
Kaja Slojewska is a Polish-born graphic-turned-typeface designer, currently living in lovely Vancouver, Canada.
With a background in traditional art and graphic design, she became fascinated with letterforms. This passion led Kaja to study a Masters in Type Design at the University of Reading, which she graduated from with a distinction in 2017. Shortly thereafter she decided to become a full-time freelance type designer. From 2018 Kaja has been mentored by the former Type Director of Monotype UK, Nadine Chahine.
As Nomad Fonts, Kaja is working with individuals and companies to expand typeface families, produce typefaces, and create custom fonts and logotypes. Additionally she is working on publishing her own original type families. The main focus of Nomad Fonts is non-latin script extension, and clients include: Tiro Typeworks, F37, Village, Playtype, Northern Block, Fontfabric, Displaay, and Sorkin Type Co.
