Gabriel Figueiredo
Gabriel Figueiredo is a freelance graphic designer from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Though he studied graphic design at UEMG, social communications at PUC-MG and systemic design at PoliTo, his type design study and practice started as a personal side-quest that eventually led to the creation of Typeóca.
For the most part of it, Typeóca was just a name and a link to place the results of his most successful type-related experiments, such as Pixel Reto and The Dada. It was only with the release of Graúna, the self-described "foundry's first serious font", that he began to treat Typeóca as a somewhat "proper foundry".
