Beatrice d'Agostino
Beatrice D’Agostino is a graphic and type designer based in Milan, Italy. She studied at Politecnico di Milano, first completing a BA Fashion Design degree (2011) and then an MA Communication Design degree (2015), with the dissertation “If on a winter’s night a traveller, the typographic system”. The project was well received and, in 2016, was selected by the Type Directors Club (tdc) to receive the Certificate of Typographic Excellence.
Beatrice started exploring type design during her internship at Bureau Christoph Dunst, in Berlin. Since 2016 she has taught typography and type design, collaborating with institutions like Politecnico di Milano, Cfp Bauer, and Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD). In 2016 Beatrice joined Leftloft in Milan, developing their custom typefaces and logotypes, as well as the type families released in collaboration with TypeTogether. She collaborates with CAST foundry, and in 2020 they released her type family Iki Mono.
