Thomas Humphrey Paget (1893-1974)

Thomas Humphrey Paget OBE was an English medal and coin designer and modeller. His designs are identified by the initials 'HP'. His most famous design featured the Elizabethan galleon the Golden Hind which was adopted for the halfpenny in 1937, and it remained in use until decimalisation in 1971. He was awarded the O.B.E. in 1948.
