Marco Ganz

Marco Ganz

Marco Ganz was born in Zürich in 1961. He attended the Zürich School of Design, completed a graphic design apprenticeship, and established his own graphic design studio in 1983. He designed Linotype Mano, a script-like text face.

He worked as a graphic designer in New York from 1987 to 1989, then returned to Zürich. He designed the Linotype Veto sans-serif type family, and won national design prizes in 1990 and 1996.

Since 1993 he has been working as an independent artist, specializing in sculptures and wall objects made of high-tech materials. He has had regular exhibitions since 1997, including five solo exhibitions at Galerie Brigitte Weiss, Zurich. In 2006 he produced the nearly 30-foot-long lightweight sculpture Blue Cocoon.
