Gary Sackers
Garrett (Gary) H. Sackers was a stationery engraver and entrepreneur who worked at W. A. Buening & Co., a stationery engraving company in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 1974-75 he worked with the Compugraphic Corporation to design a series of 11 typefaces for phototypesetting based on engravers originals, and these were known as the Sackers series. The fonts were subsequently converted to digital format by Monotype.
