Charles P. Bluemlein (1891-1944)
Charles Percy Bluemlein was a Brooklyn-based calligrapher. In the 1930s he created a series of script alphabets for the Higgins Ink Company of Brooklyn, New York, to promote their ink products. The scripts were based on the autographs and writing samples of his friends and acquaintances.
Starting in 2006 his alphabets were digitized and extended by Alejandro Paul, publishing them as theSudtipos Blumlein Collection.
