Jess Latham
Born in Birmingham, Alabama , USA in 1974, Jess Latham has been passionate about art since childhood. One of his first school memories Blue Vinylis of being presented with paper and crayons by the class teacher and producing abstracts.
Typography began as a hobby, but is now his profession. Since 1997, he has been running Blue Vinyl, and began selling commercial fonts in 1999. Through Blue Vinyl, he offers some freeware fonts. The site also houses Snacky Zines: interviews with designer who interest him.
He also runs a font news website, fontlover.com, and tweets regularly as bvfonts. He has been sewing commercially - lab coats and seat cushions - since the age of 18 and now designs his own clothes.
