Linotype-Hell
Linotype-Hell AG was a German company formed from the business of the Mergenthaler Linotype Company through a series of mergers and reorganizations.
In 1997 the typesetting business of Linotype-Hell was acquired by Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, while the font software business was spun off into a new company Linotype Library GmbH.
In 2005, Linotype Library GmbH shortened its name to Linotype GmbH, and in 2007, Linotype GmbH was acquired by the parent of Monotype Imaging, Inc.
