Rafael Saraiva
Rafael Saraiva (1980) is a Brazilian typeface designer based in Rio de Janeiro. After completing his studies in Graphic Design at Escola de Belas Artes / UFRJ, he worked for seven years focusing primarily on editorial design. In 2011, he moved to Europe to complete his education, receiving a degree with distinction from the Master of Arts in Typeface Design at The University of Reading, UK. In Reading, he did intensive research on Sinhala type design as well as the multiscript typeface Serendip. Straight after his MA, he started an internship at Rosetta Type Foundry and currently works as font developer for Dalton Maag Ltd.
