Diego Aravena
Diego Aravena was born in Santiago, Chile, in 1985, and studied Graphic Design in 2006 at “Universidad Mayor”. In 2012 he studied the Typography Diploma at “Universidad de Chile”. He collaborated as a animated design typefaces in Animography, then he worked at Flacomen Studio as a museography designer.
After selling his typefaces with Latinotype he left to set up his own typefoundry with his friend Felipe Sanzana called W Type Foundry. He is now working as a teacher in the Typography Diploma at the Universidad de Chile and as a typeface designer at W Type Foundry.
Among his most well know typeface designs are D Sari, D Sert, D Hanna, and his recent type called D Blues. He now lives in Santiago, and loves climbing and playing drums with his band as a extra activity besides design.
