Ryan Martinson
Information about the typeface designer Ryan Martinson and his fonts.
Ryan Martinson was born in Chetek, Wisconsin, in 1972 and resided in Wausau, Wisconsin through his childhood. He studied Fine Art and Graphic Design at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and worked as a graphic designer for the following 15 years.
In 2004 he started Yellow Design Studio, a graphic design and fine arts studio with his wife Rena Martinson, an artist. His first font Magesta Script was released in 2010 and he began a transition from graphic design to type design. By 2012 he was working exclusively on font design for Yellow Design Studio.
He lives with his wife Rena and son Cash in Madison, Wisconsin.
