Walter Florenz Brendel (1930-1992)
Brendel was the owner of over 28 typesetting shops across Europe. He was a partner in the development of the IKARUS digitizing software delevoped by Peter Karow, and the range of fonts they developed is now marketed as the TypeShop Collection.
Brendel was also a skilled type designer, and his own designs include EF Lingwood, Montreal TS, Volkswagen TS, Derringer TS, and Casablanca TS.
