Ján Filípek
Jan Filipek was born in Bratislava, Slovakia. He studied Visual Communication at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. He finished a 6-year Master of art studies (2002 - 2008) and right after he was accepted onto the Type and Media Master course at KABK in The Hague, Netherlands.
After completing the course (2009) with his diploma project, the Preto typeface, he has been working as a freelance graphic and font designer. Since 2009 he has run the DizajnDesign type foundry located in Bratislava, Slovakia. So far he has published various type families including Deva Ideal, Poleno Bold, Dezen Solid, Komu A, Rukou, and Anca.
