Jürgen Brinckmann
Born in Aachen, Germany in 1960, Jürgen Brinckmann showed an early flair for drawing. He subsequently studied fine art at Kassel University between 1983-90, concluding his time there with the publication of a book of his drawings. He then turned his hand to graphic design, and in 1996 he moved to Berlin to work for a publishing house producing schoolbooks. There he refined his font FF Ropsen Script, using it in some of the company's publications. In 2000, he left to set up his own business.
Among Brinckmann's fonts are EF Artemisia Light, EF Filzerhand, and EF Justus Fraktur.
