Gerd Wippich
Information about the typeface designer Gerd Wippich and his fonts.
Gerd Wippich was born in 1960 near Bremen, and studied Visual Communication in Kassel, Germany.
After working for several publishing and multimedia agencies, he started his own business in 1994. He is now part of the metaphor.ch network. In his office in Basel, Switzerland, he develops graphical user interfaces and works on eLearning applications for a broad range of clients. Besides that since 2001 he has been part time lecturer at FHNW in Aarau in the Industrial Design institute, as well as for the BfGZ in Zurich, giving web training courses for the Typografische GestalterInnen.
He lives near Basel with his wife and two children. His only typeface on the market is FF Layout at FontShop.
