Arthur Baker

Arthur Baker is an American calligrapher who studied historic letterforms and calligraphic styles. He has written and lectured widely about calligraphy, and designed several calligraphic typefaces.

His first book, "Calligraphy", was published in 1973, and since then he has published some 20 books on calligraphy and lettering, including "Arthur Baker's Historic Calligraphic Alphabets" and "Encyclopedia of Calligraphy Styles".

He has also designed a number of typefaces, the most popular of which are Baker Signet and Amigo.

His other interest is designing, making, and flying paper airplanes, and he has published a book about this, "Cut and Assemble Paper Airplanes That Fly".
