Tiresias Screenfont
Designed by a team led by Dr. John Gill, Chief Scientist for the Royal National Institute for the Blind in response to a need for improving text for television subtitling or captioning. The font has been accepted by the DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) group as the standard font for the MHP (Multimedia Home Platform), which is being adopted by many set-top box and digital TV manufacturers.
