Julie Soudanne
Julie Soudanne is a freelance French type designer based in Paris. Since May 2018 she has run jli Type Studio, creating custom typefaces for brands in the fields of luxury, gastronomy, culture, and sport. In addition she is working on several personal retail typeface projects. Before that she worked for three years as a type designer and art director at Black Foundry, a Paris-based type foundry.
She shares her know-how by teaching in the MDT Master Design Typographique at ECV Paris and at Type@Paris, and also leads workshops for the DN MADE Graphisme at the École Duperré Paris and ENSAD École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (Strasbourg).
