The year 1985
1985 saw the launch of the Apple LaserWriter, the first printer to ship with PostScript. It was developed by John Warnock and other members of Adobe Systems, and it started the desktop publishing revolution in the mid-1980s.
The most popular font released in 1985 was Footlight, designed by Ong Chong Wah.
