Jean-Baptiste Morizot

Jean-Baptiste Morizot was born in France in 1983. After several years in publishing houses, working on maps and book covers, his interest focused more and more on typography. He began to develop his own typefaces and released his first font, Bluu, in 2013 as an OFL font at Velvetyne Type Foundry. In 2016 he was hired as a type designer at Black Foundry. In 2018 he started to publish his typefaces on Future Fonts under the Phantom Foundry name. In 2021 he joined NaN, a foundry created and run by Luke Prowse.

Jean-Baptiste Morizot publishes mostly commercial typefaces (Phantom Sans, NaN Tragedy, Token), but still releases OFL fonts (Trickster), and sometimes in collaboration with other Velvetyne members (Karrik with Lucas Le Bihan).
