Miller & Richard (1838-1952)

Miller & Richard was a type foundry based in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was established in 1838 by William Miller, who had already been running a foundry since 1809, with his son-in-law Walter Richard. The foundry created many original designs including Miller & Richard Oldstyle, now known as Old Style or Century Oldstyle, and Antique Old Style, or Bookman.

The foundry closed in 1952 and the designs were acquired by Stephenson Blake.
